groupsports created a light diffusing privacy curtain for MILLIØNS’ office, a wide and narrow space nestled between olive trees in Topanga canyon. Inspired by the spatial and atmospheric color of sunsets on the west coast, the curtain is constructed from silk and athletic mesh treated in a custom dye process, with glow in the dark edging. Spectral bands of neon pigment express and catch light. Saturation compression via manipulation of material provides degreed opacity + visibility. Spread thin, the color appears as light spectral fog, compressed it turns into a dense ombré  cloud. Edge trimming created from glow in the dark material, translates the light bearing quality of the curtain, even at night. 

The composition and construction took cues from the structural framework and degrees of porosity of windsurfing sails.Thinking of the horizon shifts created while moving with the wind, the silk meets the athletic mesh at a diagonal producing different ratios of material and porosity across the curtain.
